Systems & Cloud Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled System \& Cloud Engineer to support and maintain our hybrid IT infrastructure across on\-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows and Linux servers, cloud services, backup solutions, endpoint management, virtualization platforms, and day\-to\-day operational support. This role requires a hands\-on professional who can troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensure system availability, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure optimization initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** Identity \& Access Management * Administer and manage On\-Premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments. * Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, Group Policies (GPOs), and directory synchronization. * Configure and support Single Sign\-On (SSO), Multi\-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access policies. * Maintain AD Connect and identity synchronization services. Server Administration * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems. * Monitor server health, performance, and security compliance. * Perform routine patching, upgrades, and system maintenance activities. Cloud Infrastructure Management * Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery. * Administer AWS services including EC2, S3, AWS Backup, and Identity \& Access Management (IAM). * Support cloud resource provisioning, optimization, and operational maintenance. Backup \& Disaster Recovery * Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise backup solutions. * Perform backup verification, restoration testing, and disaster recovery activities. * Manage backup platforms such as Azure Backup, AWS Backup, Veeam, or equivalent technologies. Endpoint Management * Manage corporate endpoints using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or similar endpoint management solutions. * Deploy software, security policies, operating system updates, and compliance configurations. Infrastructure Support * Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for infrastructure, cloud, and identity\-related issues. * Investigate and resolve incidents while ensuring adherence to service levels and operational procedures. * Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors when required. Virtualization Administration * Administer and maintain VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper\-V environments. * Manage virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance optimization. Monitoring \& Operations * Configure and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions. * Monitor system availability, capacity, performance, and operational health. * Utilize monitoring platforms such as SCOM, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or equivalent tools. Networking Support * Support and troubleshoot networking components including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies. * Assist in maintaining connectivity between on\-premises and cloud environments. Automation \& Scripting * Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell or Bash. * Support infrastructure automation and operational efficiency initiatives. **Education \& Qualifications** **Required** * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. **Preferred** * Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. * Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Linux, or relevant infrastructure certifications will be an advantage. **Required Technical Skills** * Active Directory (Users, Groups, GPO, AD Connect, DNS, DHCP) * Microsoft Entra ID (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, App Registrations) * Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Administration * Linux Administration (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) * Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage, Backup, Site Recovery, IAM) * Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, AWS Backup, IAM) * Backup Solutions (Veeam, Azure Backup, AWS Backup) * Endpoint Management (Intune, SCCM, MDM Platforms) * Virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper\-V) * Monitoring Tools (SCOM, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch) * Networking Fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls) * PowerShell and Bash Scripting (Preferred) **Experience** * 3 to 4 years of hands\-on experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or Cloud Engineering. * Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid cloud and on\-premises environments. * Experience managing Microsoft and Linux server infrastructure. * Practical exposure to Azure and AWS cloud platforms. * Experience with enterprise backup, virtualization, and endpoint management solutions. * Proven track record of providing L1/L2 infrastructure support within a production environment. **Job Location** **Islamabad, Pakistan** **Work Mode:** Onsite
