System Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a

System Engineer

with 4–5 years of experience to support and maintain enterprise data center infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of storage, backup, virtualization, networking, and server environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Dell infrastructure, Huawei storage platforms, Veeam Backup \& Replication, VMware, Windows Server administration, and data center operations.

Job Description:

The System Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining critical IT infrastructure components across the data center environment. The role includes managing backup and recovery operations, supporting virtualization platforms, maintaining Windows server environments, and coordinating with technology vendors for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain Dell Storage platforms, including SAN and NAS environments.
• Administer Dell switching infrastructure and perform network troubleshooting activities.
• Monitor Huawei SmartDC infrastructure, including power systems, cooling systems, UPS devices, and environmental monitoring components.
• Manage Veeam Backup \& Replication environments, including backup jobs, repositories, proxies, backup copy jobs, and recovery operations.
• Perform file-level, application-level, and full virtual machine restore activities.
• Administer and maintain tape library infrastructure, including media inventory management, tape drive troubleshooting, and offsite tape rotation processes.
• Support VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter administration, virtual machine provisioning, and performance monitoring.
• Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration.
• Monitor Microsoft SQL Server environments, including SQL Agent jobs, database backup verification, storage utilization, and operational health.
• Manage endpoint security solutions through Kaspersky Security Center, including policy administration, exclusions, agent health monitoring, and incident response.
• Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, health checks, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Investigate infrastructure incidents, collect diagnostic information, and coordinate escalations with Dell, Veeam, Huawei, and other technology vendors when required.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure inventory records.

Education / Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
