We're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help build, optimize, and maintain the AWS infrastructure that powers our internal systems, customer-facing applications, and engineering teams.
About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior DevOps Engineer
with deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud environment.
You will work closely with software engineers, security, and product teams to build scalable infrastructure, automate deployments, improve system reliability, and strengthen security across our platform.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building highly available systems, automating repetitive processes, and creating infrastructure that enables engineering teams to move quickly and safely.
What You'll Do
AWS Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure
- Manage networking, compute, storage, IAM, and cloud security configurations
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively optimize performance, reliability, and cost
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Infrastructure as Code \& Automation
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Standardize cloud deployments through reusable templates and best practices
- Continuously improve infrastructure automation and operational efficiency
CI/CD \& Release Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments
- Support engineering teams in implementing automated testing and deployment workflows
- Improve deployment reliability and reduce release times
- Troubleshoot build and deployment issues across environments
Monitoring, Reliability \& Security
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications
- Manage system observability using cloud-native and third-party monitoring tools
- Strengthen cloud security through IAM best practices, secrets management, encryption, and compliance controls
- Conduct infrastructure reviews and implement performance and security improvements
Collaboration \& Operational Excellence
- Partner with software engineering teams to improve infrastructure architecture
- Support production environments and participate in incident response when required
- Document infrastructure standards, operational procedures, and recovery processes
- Mentor engineers on DevOps best practices and cloud-native development
What You'll Need
Must-Haves
- 4–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience managing production workloads in AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
- Strong understanding of Docker and containerized applications
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) or other container orchestration platforms
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, IAM, security groups, VPCs, load balancers, and DNS
- Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and performance issues
- Familiarity with scripting using Bash or Python
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting high-availability, multi-region cloud environments
- Familiarity with security best practices and cloud compliance frameworks
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other managed cloud databases
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and AWS Lambda
- Experience working in high-growth startup environments
- Exposure to SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
