Our client Protrade International FZCO is looking for a Senior Accountant in Karachi
Protrade International FZCO is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team as a remote employee. This role is ideal for a professional with at least five years of accounting experience and ACCA certification who is adept at handling financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Manager to support daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with internal controls, and assist with VAT and audit processes. The position requires an individual who can perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.
In this role, the Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial information, preparing tax documentation, and coordinating audit activities to meet regulatory requirements. The accountant will play a critical part in financial planning and analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision in a remote work environment, ensuring proactive communication and strict adherence to deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial reporting and generate accurate account statements to support business operations.
- Manage general ledger accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to verify transactional correctness and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
- Prepare tax returns and assist in tax planning activities to optimize financial outcomes.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with external and internal auditors during audit cycles.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Manager to support all accounting functions and respond to financial inquiries.
- Handle Value Added Tax (VAT) documentation and compliance in accordance with local regulations.
- Maintain proficiency with ERP software to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to assist in strategic business decision making.
- Ensure confidentiality of all financial information and documentation.
