Kashee's Beauty Parlour is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience managing general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role involves ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards. The position requires proficiency in accounting software, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
The Accountant will lead a team of five personnel, fostering effective communication and collaboration within the team. The role demands excellent communication and team management abilities to coordinate tasks, provide guidance, and support the finance function efficiently. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
- Lead and manage a team of five accounting staff, providing training, support, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Implement and maintain effective accounting procedures and controls.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with external auditors and support audit processes as required.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash management reports to support operational goals.
- Continuously evaluate accounting systems and processes for efficiency improvements.
- Communicate financial information effectively to management and other stakeholders.
