Recruit AI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPA/ACCA Accountant specializing in Canadian accounting to join our team. This full-time role requires a dedicated professional with at least five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an outsourced accounting or firm environment. The selected candidate will take ownership of comprehensive accounting operations, managing full-cycle accounting processes with minimal supervision. This position demands expertise in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, payroll processing, sales tax compliance, and month-end and year-end closing activities, all while ensuring adherence to Canadian accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to address financial matters and deliver accurate reporting on time.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting processes for assigned clients and entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Review bookkeeping transactions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting principles and Canadian regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide accurate financial reporting.
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required financial activities.
- Process and review payroll to guarantee compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other statutory filings in accordance with Canadian tax requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain organized and complete accounting records and supporting documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Communicate professionally with clients to address financial matters, reporting requirements, and resolve outstanding issues.
- Support audit processes, financial reviews, and tax preparation activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
