Maroof International Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Coordinator for its Inpatient Department. This role involves managing patient admissions, coordinating with medical and support teams to optimize bed allocation, and ensuring seamless inter-departmental patient transfers. The Patient Coordinator acts as the main contact for admitted patients and their attendants, addressing non-clinical concerns promptly and efficiently to enhance patient satisfaction. The Patient Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate records of bed availability, admission documentation, and real-time updates on occupancy status. This position requires collaboration with nursing and bed management personnel to facilitate smooth operations within the inpatient department. Regular patient rounds and service quality assessments are integral to ensuring a positive patient experience. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and demonstrate proficiency in data entry and patient coordination without direct team management Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Coordinate bed allocation working closely with nursing and bed management teams to ensure optimal use of inpatient resources.
- Ensure complete and accurate processing of all admission forms and consent documents prior to patient admission.
- Facilitate efficient inter-departmental and inter-unit patient transfers to support continuity of care.
- Maintain up-to-date monitoring of bed availability and occupancy status to inform operational decisions.
- Serve as the primary contact for patients and their attendants regarding non-clinical issues, providing timely information and support.
- Conduct scheduled patient rounds to evaluate service quality and measure patient satisfaction within the inpatient department.
- Maintain meticulous data entry and record-keeping related to patient admissions, bed management, and transfer processes.
- Communicate effectively with multiple hospital departments to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination.
- Identify and escalate any issues affecting patient experience or bed management promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in patient coordination and hospital operational practices.
