Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for young children, fostering their academic, social, emotional, and physical development through play-based and structured learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching \& Learning
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
- Develop engaging activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills.
- Incorporate creative teaching strategies including storytelling, music, art, and play.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Classroom Management
- Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Establish clear routines and positive behavior management strategies.
- Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
- Child Development \& Assessment
- Observe and assess students’ progress through formal and informal methods.
- Maintain accurate records of development and learning milestones.
- Provide constructive feedback and reports to parents/guardians.
- Parent \& Community Engagement
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
- Professional Development
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings.
- Stay updated with early childhood education best practices.
Required Qualifications \& Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in early years/pre-primary.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
