Our client Roots International Schools is looking for a Civil Engineer in Islamabad

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Civil Engineer to oversee the planning, maintenance, renovation, and development of our educational institution's infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all buildings, facilities, and civil works are safe, functional, and compliant with applicable regulations while supporting a high-quality learning environment.

• Supervise the maintenance, repair, and renovation of academic buildings, administrative offices, hostels, sports facilities, and other campus infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify structural issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns.
• Plan, estimate, and oversee civil engineering projects, including new construction, remodeling, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Prepare project plans, cost estimates, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for buildings, roads, drainage systems, boundary walls, water supply, sewerage, and related civil infrastructure.
• Verify contractor invoices, work progress, measurements, and quality of materials used.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and institutional policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of projects, inspections, maintenance records, and asset inventories.
• Support procurement by preparing technical specifications and evaluating quotations for civil works and materials.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requirements and recommend long-term infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with administration and facility management teams to ensure uninterrupted campus operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Valid registration with the relevant engineering council (where applicable).
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in building construction, maintenance, or facility management. Experience in educational institutions, hospitals, or large commercial facilities will be an advantage.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural systems, and building maintenance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Understanding of BOQ preparation, estimation, and contract management.
• Familiarity with building codes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
