About the role
*Level: Solid intermediate (multi-year AI experience) to Senior*
*Stack: TypeScript, LLM providers, agent frameworks, Pinecone, MongoDB, Azure*
You'll build the AI systems at the core of our product — agents, tool-using workflows, retrieval, and multi-model orchestration, plus the infrastructure that makes them reliable in production. This is applied AI engineering, not research.
What you'll do
- Design and build agentic, tool-using workflows and LLM-powered features
- Build and optimize RAG / retrieval pipelines (Pinecone / vector search)
- Work across multiple model providers — evaluate, route, and optimize between them
- Build the evaluation and guardrails that keep AI features reliable
- Partner with backend and product to ship AI capabilities into the product
Required
- Multiple years of hands-on experience building AI/LLM-powered applications
- Production experience with RAG / retrieval pipelines (vector search)
- Production experience with tool calling / function calling
- Experience with agent frameworks (LangChain or similar) and a real understanding of their tradeoffs
- Worked with more than one model provider and can speak to their strengths/weaknesses
- Strong software engineering fundamentals — this is an engineering role, not prompt-tinkering
