Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Financial Accounting Assistant Manager (UAEN)

to join our client’s finance team in Dubai. The role is responsible for supporting and overseeing financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and contributing to strong financial reporting, internal controls, and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations and month-end/year-end closing activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and applicable regulations
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls and accounting policies
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements
  • Review reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts
  • Contribute to process improvements and ERP system optimization (SAP preferred)
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members within the accounting function

Qualifications \& Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, or ACA) is required or in progress
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or reporting
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Cable industry, or Big Four audit firms is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Experience working within an ERP environment, preferably SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment
