Our client Patrind O\&M (Private) Limited is looking for a Electrical Protection Engineer - Hydropower Systems in Muzaffarabad
The successful candidate will be involved in researching and implementing improvements in protection systems based on thorough analysis and root cause investigations of system failures or faults. They will be responsible for maintaining detailed technical reports, quality control documentation, and coordinating auditing and planning activities on an annual basis. Fluency in English and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools are required for preparing technical reports and data management. The role does not entail managing a team but demands strong independent work capabilities within a professional environment. Candidates with at least three years of professional experience in operations and maintenance of hydropower plants are preferred. Responsibilities
- Perform testing, calibration, and commissioning of protection relays for generators, transformers, busbars, and transmission lines in accordance with IEC standards.
- Execute fault analysis and troubleshooting of electrical protection systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate protection relays and settings to ensure reliable and secure electrical protection for hydropower plant equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities on electrical protection equipment and systems.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on investigations of faults, defects, or failures to enhance system reliability.
- Support the operation and maintenance processes of hydro powerplant control systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Prepare technical documentation, including monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control reports, and ensure compliance with auditing and planning requirements.
- Research and analyze protection system technologies to recommend and apply improvements.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate protection systems effectively within the hydropower plant operations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of electrical protection standards, procedures, and best practices relevant to hydropower plants.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to manage data, generate reports, and organize technical documents efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and engineering standards while performing all duties.
