Our client Qatar Charity is looking for a Education Program Manager in Islamabad
The Education Coordinator will provide overall technical, managerial, and operational leadership for the planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, quality assurance, and compliance of all education-related programmes and projects implemented by the organization across Pakistan.
The position is responsible for ensuring that education interventions are aligned with organizational strategy, donor requirements, government priorities, and international standards while delivering measurable improvements in access to quality, inclusive, equitable, and safe learning opportunities for vulnerable children and youth.
The position holder shall serve as the principal focal point for education programming, government coordination, technical guidance, partner management, donor compliance, and capacity strengthening of project staff and implementing partners.

Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership and Programme Planning
The Education Coordinator shall:
Programme Design \& Planning
Lead education needs assessments, rapid assessments, baseline surveys and education gap analyses.
Develop annual programme strategies, implementation plans, budgets and sector workplans.
Prepare project implementation plans (PIPs), procurement plans and staffing requirements.
Contribute concept notes, donor proposals, technical narratives and project budgets.
Ensure projects align with:
- National Education Policy
- Provincial Education Sector Plans
- Government curriculum requirements
- Donor frameworks
- Organizational strategy
- INEE Minimum Standards
- UNICEF education programming approaches.

Lead day-to-day implementation of education projects.
Ensure activities are delivered according to approved quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Ensure effective utilization of project resources.
Oversee implementation through staff, field offices, schools, community structures and partners.
Monitor project progress and take corrective action where implementation delays occur.
Ensure procurement, logistics, finance and HR processes support project delivery.
Promote sustainability and community ownership of interventions.
- Technical Quality Assurance
Provide technical guidance to project teams and partners.
Review training curricula, learning materials, teacher guides and education tools.
Ensure use of evidence-based educational approaches.
Conduct regular technical supervision visits.
Improve teaching quality, learner outcomes and programme effectiveness.
Promote gender-responsive and inclusive education programming.
Ensure Child-Friendly Learning Environment standards are maintained.
Introduce innovative and technology-enabled learning approaches where relevant.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
Develop sector-specific monitoring frameworks.
Establish project indicators and monitoring tools.
Ensure collection, verification and analysis of programme data.
Conduct regular monitoring visits and spot checks.
Ensure availability of all Means of Verification (MoVs).
Lead outcome reviews and learning exercises.
Analyze trends and recommend adaptive management measures.
Document best practices and lessons learned.
Strengthening beneficiary accountability and feedback systems.

Job Requirements:
Masters degree in education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Educational Planning \& Management or related field
Professional certifications are desirable e.g. Certification in Education in Emergencies (EiE), SDGs, Project Management Professional (PMP)
At least 07 years of relevant experience in education programme management with INGOs/UN/donor-funded projects
At least 4 years experience at Coordinator level in education programming.
Proven technical knowledge and capacity to lead implementation of project activities.
Experience leading education program/project implementation in a complex setting involving multiple stakeholders.
Proven experience in:
Project cycle management
Monitoring and reporting
Capacity building
Experience In Pakistans Development/humanitarian Sector Strongly Preferred
Experience working with government counterparts and donor-funded projects is essential
