Job Description
With 5–7 years of experience, you are in the "sweet spot" of technical execution. You will work directly
with the DevOps Tech Lead and Solution Architects to build, maintain, and scale our CI/CD pipelines.
Your mission is to eliminate manual toil through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ensure that our
banking applications—whether Java, .NET, or Legacy COTS—transition smoothly from on?premise hardware to the Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or
GitLab CI. You don't just "click run"; you write the YAML and scripts that define the build, test,
and deploy phases.
- Hybrid Infrastructure: Manage and automate resources across on-prem (VMware) and Cloud
(AWS/Azure/GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring environment parity between the data
center and the cloud landing zones.
- Cloud-Native Transition: Containerize legacy applications using Docker and deploy them
into Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/OpenShift).
- Security \& Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate automated security scanning (Snyk, SonarQube,
Prisma) into the pipeline. In banking, "Security is Everyone's Job," and you are the one who
automates the guardrails.
- Observability Implementation: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus,
Grafana, ELK) to ensure we have 100% visibility during and after a migration.
The Profile: The Automation Enthusiast
- The Experience (5–7 Years): You have moved beyond junior-level troubleshooting and can now
own a feature or a pipeline end-to-end.
- The "Builder" Logic: You prefer a script over a manual UI. You are proficient in Python, Go, or
Bash for automating repetitive tasks.
- AI-Aided Operations: You are an early adopter of GitHub Copilot or AI Agents to help generate
Terraform modules, K8s manifests, or complex shell scripts.
- Banking Awareness: You understand the importance of change management, audit trails, and
data privacy in a regulated financial environment.
