About This Role We are seeking a talented mid-level DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about owning and managing complex infrastructure problems from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports Xe’s core payment services. You will be actively involved in building multi-region cloud environments, developing CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with engineering teams to integrate AI-driven developer tools into our workflows.
In this role, you will have direct access to engineering, architecture, and security teams, allowing you to influence cross-domain reliability and operational excellence. Your expertise will help ensure that our infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and capable of supporting the company’s rapid growth and technological innovations. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and AI-enabled solutions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of experience in building and operating production infrastructure end-to-end
- Extensive experience with AWS, including multi-region architecture, IAM, networking, and managed services
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
- Experience with container orchestration in production environments (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS)
- Strong background in observability and monitoring, including SLO definition and alert management
- Proven experience in incident response and on-call rotation management
- Daily use of agentic coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the reliability and developer experience of CI/CD pipelines, including release gating, automation, and rollback procedures
- Design, build, and operate multi-region cloud infrastructure on AWS, covering identity management, networking, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to adopt and integrate AI-accelerated SDLC tooling across the organization
- Manage production observability, including setting up monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols for shared infrastructure
- Participate in on-call rotations to promptly address and resolve infrastructure incidents
- Utilize agentic coding tools daily to streamline the software development lifecycle
- Contribute to cross-team reliability decisions and infrastructure improvements
