AI Ethics Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

AI Ethics Consultant

to guide the responsible design, deployment, and governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across the organization. The role will focus on identifying and mitigating ethical risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting fairness and transparency, and supporting the development of trustworthy AI systems that align with business objectives and societal values.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance \& Compliance

• Develop and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with applicable regulations, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
• Conduct AI risk assessments and ethical impact assessments for AI initiatives.
• Advise leadership on emerging AI regulations, standards, and ethical considerations.

Ethical AI Advisory

• Evaluate AI systems for fairness, accountability, transparency, privacy, and explainability.
• Identify potential biases within AI models, datasets, and decision-making processes.
• Recommend strategies to mitigate ethical, reputational, and operational AI risks.
• Provide guidance on responsible AI principles throughout the AI lifecycle.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, legal teams, HR, and compliance functions.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops on AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
• Support decision-making by providing ethical assessments and recommendations.
• Act as a trusted advisor on AI-related ethical dilemmas and governance issues.

Monitoring \& Auditing

• Design and oversee AI governance reviews and audits.
• Establish monitoring frameworks to assess AI system performance, bias, and compliance.
• Review AI models, algorithms, and datasets for adherence to ethical standards.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management and governance committees.

Awareness \& Training

• Develop AI ethics training programs for employees and stakeholders.
• Promote awareness of responsible AI principles across the organization.
• Create educational materials, policies, and best-practice guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI governance, technology risk, compliance, ethics, data privacy, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and data governance principles.
• Knowledge of AI ethics frameworks, risk management methodologies, and governance models.
• Understanding of privacy, security, and regulatory requirements affecting AI technologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in AI Ethics, Technology Policy, Data Science, Law, Public Policy, or related discipline.
• Experience with AI governance platforms and responsible AI assessment tools.
• Familiarity with global AI regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, OECD AI Principles, EU AI Act).
• Experience working with Generative AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT, and other AI platforms.
• Professional certifications related to AI governance, privacy, risk management, or compliance.
• Experience presenting to senior executives and governance committees.
