Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Karachi. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to further develop their expertise in financial operations, taxation, compliance, and reporting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain General Ledger (GL) transactions, including accruals and prepayments.
• Process Accounts Payable transactions and review invoices for accuracy and tax compliance.
• Prepare payment vouchers and support payment processing activities.
• Record cash and bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support tax filings and ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, audit schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders when required.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and support resolution efforts.
• Provide general accounting and financial administration support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Partially qualified or qualified CA, ACCA, or CMA.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (Oracle experience is an advantage).
