Job Description
Tutor Me Education is reshaping how students learn, and we're looking for experienced academic tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students across the country. If you're passionate about supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, and diverse learning needs — and you want the flexibility to build a schedule around your life — we'd love to hear from you.
**What you'll do:**
* Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's goals, accommodations, and learning profile
* Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, grade\-level standards, and the specific accommodations or modifications each student requires
* Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement
* Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, where applicable, school district partners
**Why tutors love working with us:**
* Fully remote — tutor from home on your own computer
* You set your schedule — choose your availability and update it anytime
* You set your hourly rate — and negotiate per job based on the scope of work
* Steady opportunities — with hundreds of new students signing up daily, we match jobs to your email based on the subjects and student populations you're best suited for
*Note: Many of our assignments operate in Pacific Time, so availability during PT hours is a plus.*
**About Tutor Me Education**
We're a tutoring and test\-preparation platform connecting qualified educators with families and school districts nationwide. Our tutors choose the jobs that fit their expertise and schedule, and our growing partnerships with school districts mean a steady pipeline of meaningful work — especially in special education, where demand continues to outpace supply.
**Requirements**
**Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree required (degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred)
* Experience working with students who have learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs — whether as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor
* Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations (extended time, chunked instruction, multi\-sensory approaches, etc.)
* Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
* Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
* Ability to pass a background check
* Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace
**Preferred (not required):**
* Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education
* Experience with specific methodologies such as Orton\-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
**Benefits**
* Flexible schedule — work when you want
* 100% remote
* Set your own hourly rate
* Consistent flow of students matched to your expertise
* Opportunity to make a real difference for students who need it most
