The Role
The
Function \& Control
team is responsible for the development of all seat functions within Volvo Cars. The team designs, develops, and delivers software for both in-house solutions and supplier-controlled modules, ensuring high quality, functionality, and innovation throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain software architecture for automotive products
- Develop and secure high-quality software solutions for vehicle applications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute with innovative ideas
- Work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple functions
- Manage technical issues proactively and communicate status transparently
- Ensure the best possible customer experience regarding functionality and quality
Experience / Background
- At least
5 years of experience
in Software Development using
C++ and/or C
- Experience with
QNX and AUTOSAR
software development (
mandatory
)
- Strong understanding of automotive software development practices
- Experience with
Git, Gerrit
, or other version control tools
- Knowledge of
Google Test
or similar testing frameworks
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Experience with
Embedded Linux Development
- Experience with
Continuous Integration (CI)
and automated testing
- Experience with
MATLAB/Simulink
