About the Company
Our client is a manufacturing company. They are looking for a who will be responsible for for full-cycle accounting, month-end close, inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and review and audit coordination across Canadian and U.S. entities. This individual will play a key role in supporting a growing manufacturing business and will work closely with operations and ownership on financial reporting, inventory management, costing, and process improvements.

About the Opportunity
Financial Reporting \& Month-End Close
- Lead and complete the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and intercompany elimination entries in accordance with ASPE.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances against budget and prior periods.
- Support cash flow reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Provide backup support to the Controller as required.
Inventory, Costing \& Manufacturing Accounting
- Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
- Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
- Monitor inventory valuation, reserves, and cost of goods sold.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, including material and labour
- Support costing processes.
- Partner with Operations, Production, and Purchasing teams to improve inventory accuracy and reporting.
- Assist with profitability, margin, and operational performance analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies, inventory controls, and reporting processes.
Accounting Operations \& Compliance
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with annual audits and prepare supporting schedules and working papers.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Support the preparation of corporate tax information and compliance requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ASPE and Canadian accounting principles.
- Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year
