Senior Accountant Location: Toronto, ON (Primarily Remote) Work Model: Remote with attendance at the Toronto office approximately twice per month Salary: $90,000–$95,000 per year \+ Benefits Job Type: Full\-Time, Permanent About the Opportunity Staffworks is recruiting for an experienced and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant on behalf of a respected organization in the financial services sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA\-designated accounting professional seeking a primarily remote role with strong work\-life balance, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, month\-end accounting, budgeting, reconciliations, audit support, and management reporting while collaborating closely with senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage month\-end accounting processes and related financial reporting activities Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements Analyze general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare cash flow projections and support budgeting activities Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Prepare management reports and financial summaries for leadership Coordinate with external auditors and assist with year\-end audit preparation Prepare HST and other regulatory filings as required Support the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls Assist with special projects and other finance\-related initiatives as assigned Qualifications CPA designation is mandatory Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams What’s Offered Competitive salary of $90,000–$95,000 annually Comprehensive benefits package Primarily remote work environment Collaborative and professional team culture Opportunity to contribute to strategic finance initiatives and projects If you are a CPA\-designated accounting professional looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
