Naru Zanzibar is a luxury destination management company specializing in premium travel experiences across Zanzibar. We provide high\-end airport transfers, bespoke tours, private drivers, yacht charters, and curated experiences designed to showcase the very best of the island. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced sales leader to help drive revenue growth, strengthen our market presence, and build a scalable sales function that supports our long\-term vision.
**Role Scope \& Responsibilities**
You are being engaged in the capacity of
**Sales Manager**
, responsible for leading and scaling the sales function across Naru Zanzibar. You will own the entire sales process, from strategy development and pipeline generation to client acquisition, conversion optimization, and team performance management.
This is a hands\-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities. You will be expected to identify growth opportunities, develop high\-performing sales processes, and drive consistent revenue growth while maintaining the exceptional service standards associated with the Naru Zanzibar brand.
**Your responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:**
1\. Sales Strategy \& Revenue Growth
* Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
* Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand the company's client base.
* Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and growth initiatives aligned with business objectives.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to inform sales strategy.
2\. Lead Generation \& Pipeline Management
* Oversee lead sourcing, qualification, nurturing, and conversion activities.
* Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across key customer segments.
* Implement systems and processes to improve lead management and conversion efficiency.
* Ensure timely follow\-up and effective management of prospective clients.
3\. Client Acquisition \& Closing
* Lead negotiations and close high\-value bookings, partnerships, and corporate opportunities.
* Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
* Present tailored solutions that align with client needs while maximizing business profitability.
* Support complex sales opportunities through to successful conversion.
4\. Team Leadership \& Performance Management
* Recruit, train, mentor, and manage sales team members as required.
* Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and development plans.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
* Foster a high\-performance sales culture focused on results, professionalism, and customer experience.
5\. CRM Management \& Reporting
* Oversee CRM utilization, data quality, and sales reporting processes.
* Ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
* Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance insights to leadership.
* Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis and reporting.
6\. Process Improvement \& Sales Operations
* Design and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and conversion rates.
* Develop sales playbooks, SOPs, and best practices.
* Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance sales performance.
* Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer experience teams to improve the customer journey and overall business performance.
**Requirements**
* Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling sales teams.
* Strong experience developing and executing sales strategies that drive measurable revenue growth.
* Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship\-building skills.
* Experience in luxury travel, hospitality, tourism, lifestyle, or other high\-ticket sales environments is strongly preferred.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex sales cycles.
* Highly proactive, self\-motivated, and execution\-oriented.
* Comfortable working independently in a fast\-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
* Experience using CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance reporting tools.
