Bud Flanagan Ambulatory Inpatients (AMBIN) – Haemato-Oncology Transplant Day Unit
Bud Flanagan Ambulatory Inpatients (AMBIN) is a highly specialised haemato-oncology transplant day unit delivering inpatient-level treatments within an outpatient setting. We care for patients undergoing supportive therapies, systemic anti-cancer treatments, and cellular therapy administration.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff nurse to join our friendly and dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional haemato-oncology care. You will:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to complex haematology-oncology patients
- Work proactively within a fast-paced, highly specialised environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Support service development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development

You will work alongside a highly skilled and motivated multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), and education teams. - To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
- To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
