St. Michael's and Providence Foundation (SMPF) is the exclusive fundraising organization to generate and manage philanthropic funds for St. Michael’s Hospital and Providence Healthcare, within Unity Health Toronto. Through multiple lines of fundraising income generation and stewardship activity, SMPF, in conjunction with Unity Health, will define and promote the St. Michael’s and Providence brands to maximize philanthropic revenue to fuel their healthcare, research, teaching and health equity missions. Join us! **Position Summary** The Manager, Human Resources,reporting to the Chief of Staff, is accountable for ensuring that all operational and administrative functions of Human Resources are undertaken in a manner aligned to the Foundation strategic and people plans. The Manager will ensure that human resources strategies are executed in alignment with the Foundation’s mission, growth objectives, and commitment to equity, inclusion, and employee well\-being. This role also works closely with the Chief of Staff to execute a comprehensive talent management framework, including administration of the Foundation’s performance management cycle, creation and maintenance of HR Policies, including the digital library for HR policies, and development and execution of a quarterly pulse survey and annual employee engagement survey and supporting the follow\-through on strategies arising from these surveys. **Responsibilities \& Activities** **Talent Management:** * Support Chief of Staff with execution of talent management framework. * Provide direct human resources consulting and operational support for the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of Foundation employees. * Work with hospital partners to execute job postings on Unity Health Toronto website. * Manage job postings on AFP and Charity Village. **Employee Relations And Performance Management** * Foster a positive, inclusive, and high\-performance workplace culture. * Project manage the performance management processes. * Provide support for annual business plan processes. **Total Compensation** * Maintain systems for tracking vacation, sick time and other time\-off vehicles. * Input payroll coding into system. * Provide regular vacation balance reports to Managers. * Maintain employee compensation information and prepare annual compensation letters. **Policy Compliance** * Create and maintain digital library of HR policies and practices. * Maintain Foundation organizational charts on SharePoint. **HR Operations And Systems** * Assist with management of HR systems and platforms. * Assist with the creation and management of the HR budget to ensure operational efficiency. **Qualifications And Experience** * Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; CHRP/CHRL designation an asset. * Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience . * Experience in a fundraising environment such as a hospital foundation, charitable organization or non\-profit preferred. * Strong knowledge of Ontario employment law and HR best practices. * Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence leaders, and manage complex issues. * Strategic thinking and sound judgment. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. * High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. * Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands\-on execution.
