Litigation Associate - Insurance Defence

A well-established and respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 5-8 years of experience to join its growing litigation team in downtown Calgary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advance insurance defence litigation files from inception to resolution.
• Handle property, personal injury, and liability matters on behalf of insurer clients.
• Conduct Questioning, mediations, negotiations, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, and other litigation documents.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to insurance clients.
• Independently manage a busy file load while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of litigation experience.
• Insurance Defence experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience with insurer reporting and independent file management.
• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
