Legal Associate – Crypto Expert

**Role Overview:** We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Legal Associate to support the legal and regulatory aspects of the company’s digital assets and crypto trading operations. This role will play a critical part in the development, launch, and ongoing governance of the company’s crypto\-related products and services, ensuring alignment with UAE regulatory requirements and international best practices. The successful candidate will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Marketing teams to support innovative trading solutions while maintaining strong legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should possess solid experience within fintech, financial services, and virtual assets, with a strong understanding of digital asset trading models, regulatory frameworks, and financial services operations within regulated environments. **Key Responsibilities:** * Review and support the legal structuring of crypto trading features * Draft, review, and maintain user\-facing legal documentation * Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory submissions, policies, and legal memoranda related to virtual asset activities * Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory stakeholders regarding UAE and international crypto regulatory frameworks * Monitor and interpret evolving laws, regulations, and guidance applicable to Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), including UAE and overseas crypto regulatory developments * Support the legal review of new products, features, partnerships, and operational initiatives involving digital assets * Coordinate with key internal teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all business activities * Review marketing materials and public communications to ensure compliance with applicable financial promotions, market conduct, and investor protection rules * Assist in the drafting, negotiation, and management of commercial agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnership documentation * Support internal governance processes, including policy development, legal risk assessments, and regulatory compliance frameworks * Contribute to internal legal awareness initiatives and provide practical legal guidance to business stakeholders **Required Qualifications \& Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); an LLM or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage * 3–5 years of legal experience within fintech, financial services, capital markets, or digital assets environments * Demonstrable exposure to crypto trading models, digital asset products, or VASP\-related activities * Strong familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks applicable to virtual assets * Exposure to overseas crypto regulations and international financial regulatory standards is highly desirable * Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documentation * Ability to translate complex technical or product\-related concepts into practical and legally sound documentation * Experience working within cross\-functional and fast\-paced environments * Strong legal research, analytical, and problem\-solving skills * High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational capabilities * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure **Skills \& Competencies:** * Commercially aware and business\-oriented mindset * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities * Proactive, adaptable, and solutions\-driven approach * Strong sense of ownership and accountability * Familiarity with regulatory technology (RegTech), and contract lifecycle management systems is considered an advantage **Language Requirements:** * Fluent in English * Arabic language proficiency is a plus **Preferred Experience:** * Candidates with prior experience supporting regulated crypto exchanges, brokerages, fintech platforms, custody providers, or financial institutions operating within regulated environments in the UAE or internationally will be highly preferred.
