About the Role
As a Junior Data Scientist, you'll help transform financial data into valuable business insights. You'll support fraud detection initiatives, customer analytics, predictive modeling, and automation projects while working closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
What You'll Be Doing
Analyze customer and transaction datasets
Build predictive models supporting financial decision-making
Assist in fraud detection and risk analysis projects
Develop reports and interactive dashboards
Perform exploratory data analysis
Improve data quality and validation processes
Support AI-driven product initiatives
Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders
Automate recurring analytical workflows
Document methodologies and findings
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
Up to 2 years of relevant experience
Strong Python and SQL skills
Understanding of machine learning techniques
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Knowledge of statistical analysis
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for financial technology
Nice to Have
Knowledge of fraud detection or financial analytics
Experience with cloud technologies
Exposure to APIs and large-scale datasets
Kaggle, bootcamp, or portfolio projects
