Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with ASPE accounting standards.
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Run payroll processing.
- Supervise bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with preparation and filing of:
- GST/HST returns
- Corporate income tax support (T2 schedules)
- Payroll remittances (CPP, EI, Income Tax)
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Review work performed by accounting clerks and junior accountants.
- Provide training and performance feedback.
- Assign and monitor tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Edit documents for Loan proposes
- Experience
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Technical Skills
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 50, SAP, Wave
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of GST/HST, payroll compliance, and financial reporting

n Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
