This role is responsible for planning, developing and implementing nutritional and dietary\-care programs to
patients/individuals in line with M42 and the relevant national health regulator’s policies, procedures, guidelines and
standards. The incumbent is also responsible for providing nutritional and diet\-related counseling and advice to
patients and their family members to improve their nutrition status, health and wellbeing.
**Responsibilities**
* Acts as a clinical resource for nutrition management, supporting staff and participating in screening, referral, and training activities for new employees.
* Performs comprehensive nutrition assessments, develops evidence‑based interventions, and ensures continuity of care for patients with active or complex nutrition needs.
* Facilitates referrals to senior or external Dietitians when cases fall outside scope, and supports medical staff with follow‑up activities such as evaluation reports.
* Maintains accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, education, and referrals in alignment with departmental standards.
* Contributes to quality improvement by assisting in the design and implementation of clinical programs, participating in research and education, and developing patient‑focused educational materials.
* Delivers person‑centred care by fostering trust, promoting engagement, respecting cultural differences, and tailoring services to individual needs, values, and preferences.
* Uses evidence‑based approaches to drive measurable improvements in nutrition care and collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support seamless care delivery.
* Communicates clearly with team members, ensures regulatory requirements are understood, and represents the department in internal and external events related to nutrition and health.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Health Science (Nutrition major), with a Post‑graduate Diploma or Master’s in Dietetics preferred.
* Minimum 2\+ years post‑qualification experience in the relevant field, including completion of a specialty qualification aligned with recognized certification standards and experience in a JCIA‑accredited facility.
* Demonstrated competency in applying the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and delivering evidence‑based nutrition interventions.
* Valid national health regulator license, BLS certification, and strong professional communication skills with cultural sensitivity.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluency in written and spoken English.
