Job Description
A leading diversified group is seeking a
Compliance Manager
to establish, oversee, and enhance group-wide compliance frameworks across multiple business units. The role will ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while promoting a strong culture of ethics, governance, and risk awareness across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a group-wide compliance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulatory bodies, and internal governance policies across all entities
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and implement mitigation plans
- Design and maintain policies, procedures, and controls across the group
- Lead internal compliance reviews, audits, and investigations, including follow-up on identified gaps
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulators and external auditors where required
- Provide ongoing advisory support to business units on compliance-related matters
- Deliver training and awareness programs to ensure a strong compliance culture across the organization
- Track and report on compliance KPIs, breaches, and remediation plans to senior leadership
- Support implementation of AML, KYC, data protection, and corporate governance standards where applicable
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on the group’s operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, or equivalent are preferred
- 10 years of experience in compliance, risk, or governance roles
- Proven experience within a diversified group, holding company, or multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory landscape (e.g., ADGM, DIFC, Central Bank, sector-specific regulators)
- Experience working across multiple industries (e.g., investments, real estate, energy, retail, or financial services) is highly advantageous
