**Accounting Specialist** **San Jose, California \| Aerospace \& Technology \| Onsite** I’m currently partnering with a global technology and engineering organisation looking to appoint an Accounting Specialist to join their finance team in San Jose. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong billing and accounts receivable experience who enjoys working within fast\-paced, highly regulated environments while supporting large\-scale commercial and government\-focused operations. The role will focus on billing, reconciliations, financial reporting and supporting month\-end processes within a highly collaborative finance environment. Key responsibilities include: • Processing invoices and expense reports accurately and efficiently • Managing billing and accounts receivable activities • Reconciling accounts and resolving financial discrepancies • Supporting month\-end and year\-end close processes • Preparing and analysing financial reports including balance sheets and income statements • Supporting internal and external audit activities • Maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve account queries What they’re looking for: • 5\+ years’ accounting experience within billing and accounts receivable functions • Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing processes • Experience working with government contracts • SAP experience essential • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas • Strong analytical and problem\-solving capability • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Additional experience of interest: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • Audit exposure or compliance experience • Experience working within fast\-paced finance environments • Ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships Why this role stands out: • Opportunity to join a globally recognised technology and engineering organisation • Strong compensation package ($67k–$84k) • Comprehensive healthcare, retirement and employee benefits package • Exposure to government and high\-tech commercial operations • Opportunity to work within an innovative and collaborative finance environment • Career progression and professional development opportunities Please note: Due to U.S. export control regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or hold protected status within the United States.
