Job Description
An established organization is seeking a motivated and detail\-focused accounting professional to join its finance team in a hands\-on operational accounting role. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment and wants to further develop their practical accounting experience while contributing to day\-to\-day financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with finance staff across multiple functions to support accurate reporting, reconciliations, and financial processes. Primary Responsibilities * Assist with day\-to\-day accounting activities including transaction processing and account maintenance * Prepare and complete monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and operational expenses * Support month\-end and year\-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis * Review financial records and transactional information for accuracy and completeness * Assist with sales tax filings and related supporting documentation * Monitor payment activity, outstanding balances, and cash movement trends * Help prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules for management review * Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure adherence to internal procedures * Collaborate with various departments to resolve discrepancies and support ongoing accounting operations * Participate in process improvements and administrative support projects within the finance team Qualifications * Post\-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline * Enrolled in CPA or soon to be in PEP program * Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a high\-volume environment * Strong understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliations * Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data review * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines * Excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy and professionalism
