Job Description
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction, joinery, fit\-out, or contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, supplier payments, job costing, and supporting overall financial control within the business. **Key Responsibilities:** * Handle day\-to\-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, and bank reconciliations. * Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation. * Process supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and client billing. * Monitor project\-related expenses and assist in job costing and budget tracking. * Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. * Coordinate with procurement, project, and operations teams regarding project costs and payment status. * Ensure timely collection follow\-up and maintain receivables records. * Assist in VAT preparation, filing, and compliance. * Support external audits and provide required financial documentation. * Maintain proper filing systems for invoices, LPOs, contracts, and financial records. * Assist management with cash flow monitoring and expense analysis. * Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within construction, joinery, fit\-out, or contracting companies. * Strong understanding of project accounting and cost tracking. * Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements. * Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Good communication and coordination skills.
