Today, this extends to more than 1,500 enterprise clients, where the focus remains on creating systems that are not only functional, but ready to adapt and evolve over time. **Position Overview** Abacus is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist with 5\+ years of experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced data science and engineering solutions. The role focuses on leveraging large\-scale datasets, machine learning, and scalable data architectures to drive actionable business insights and support enterprise transformation initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze and interpret complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights * Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures * Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and optimization of data storage solutions * Lead end\-to\-end data science and engineering projects from conception to deployment * Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver successful solutions * Deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning models in production environments * Mentor junior data scientists and engineers while fostering a collaborative team culture * Continuously improve existing data models, infrastructure, and analytics processes * Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and advancements in data science and engineering **Requirements** * 5\+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field * Strong expertise in Python, R, or Scala * Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics * Hands\-on experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar data processing frameworks * Strong SQL skills with experience in relational and NoSQL databases * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud * Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI * Proven experience leading projects and mentoring technical teams * Strong analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills **Preferred / Nice To Have** * Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field * Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments * Knowledge of model management, version control, and MLOps practices * Exposure to enterprise\-scale analytics and cloud\-native data solutions **What We Offer** * Competitive compensation based on experience * Exposure to enterprise\-scale global projects * A collaborative and growth\-oriented work environment * Opportunities for professional development and upskilling * The opportunity to work with advanced cloud, AI, and data technologies Abacus Consulting \| Enabling Organisations to Create the Future of Business
