The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Public Policy and Governance, Policy\-related fields, or a relevant degree and demonstrates a solid academic record with a minimum of three years of experience in academia, research, and administrative duties. The role involves delivering engaging lectures, supervising student projects, and advancing scholarship within the discipline while supporting the University's mission to foster critical thinking and informed public policy discourse. The position emphasizes active participation in research activities, requiring a minimum of five publications in Higher Education Commission recognized journals. Although this role does not include team management Responsibilities , the assistant professor is expected to collaborate with departmental colleagues, contribute to curriculum development, and uphold rigorous academic standards. The candidate should exhibit strong proficiency in research methodologies relevant to public policy, enabling them to analyze complex policy issues, guide graduate research, and contribute meaningfully to academic and societal debates. **Responsibilities** * Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Public Policy and related subjects with clarity and enthusiasm. * Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current trends and advancements in public policy research and practice. * Design and guide research projects, theses, and dissertations for students, fostering critical analysis and innovative thinking. * Conduct high\-quality academic research in public policy and governance, aiming to publish in HEC recognized journals regularly. * Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the formulation of academic policies and strategies. * Engage in administrative tasks assigned by the department, including examination coordination and student assessment. * Supervise and mentor students, providing academic advice and supporting their professional development. * Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and grant proposals to enhance the universitys academic profile. * Stay updated with the latest developments in public policy and governance through continuous professional development. * Participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops to present research findings and network with peers in the academic community.
